What is a peer reviewed article and how do I find one?

A peer reviewed article is an article published in a journal that has been reviewed by subject specialists who approve the content.

This is different from a scholarly article which is information written by experts in the field of study, supported by research and references.

This is again different to non-scholarly information, which is information that is not so much research based, but reporting on current events and trends, e.g. newspapers, blogs, magazines.

For more on different types of information, see our guide here.

Use the EBSCOHost database to search for articles by entering keywords into the search box here.
